Nicola McKinlay-Clark
Qualified with a Master’s in counselling and a full member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors, Nicola’s core values are empathy, family, connection, purpose, curiousity and humour.
She has worked with a wide variety of ages and stages in the counselling space – from school children and university students to couples and individuals.
A main focus for Nicola is creating a safe and warm connection with her clients. She draws mainly on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy to help support the people she works with. Her counselling centers around acceptance of the things that can’t be changed, staying connected with the present moment and working collaboratively to discover the strengths that already exist in working towards living a life that feels meaningful……even through challenge.
